The Storytelling Nights Series features some of the best storytellers in the local area, including Beverly Black, Steve Daut, Jeff Doyle, Jane Fink, Jennifer Otto, Barbara Schutzgruber, and Rich Swanson. With a variety of styles and topics, this is an evening full of fun and unique observations on life.

Extra Credit combines academic research from 3 professors at the University of Michigan with improv comedy from top performers at hear.say theater. Just like the audience, the improvisers have no advanced notice about what is being presented! They take inspiration from each presentation in the moment to create laugh-out-loud scenes, memorable characters, and surprising connections across the research.

The Storytelling Nights Series features the Michigan Bright Water Storytelling Festival, a network of storytellers from all over Michigan. This group not only features some amazing storytellers, they also produce an annual Storytelling Festival in Howell, Michigan, which offers workshops, open mics, and an evening concert at a day-long in-person gathering.
