"Folky Americana and heartbreaking country"
We first heard this Brooklyn-based songwriter as an opener for Delbert McClinton at The Ark. He came on the scene in 2015 with the album "Songs from the Hive," an homage to The Band and Bob Dylan. Brian also has a country streak in his music. He's played living rooms, cafes, clubhouses, big theaters, small theaters, movie theaters, listening rooms, college cafeterias, and so on. Brian was silent as a songwriter for several years after the 2016 elections but returns with "Selling Things," an album "that balances the personal and political as it contemplates an impending apocalypse that feels more literal and less metaphorical with each passing day."
