Bring your music to the masses!
The Ark is pleased to partner with Emerson School and ThrivingChildA2.com for a new series of youth open stage nights.
Performers ages 5-17 are invited to The Ark to sing a song, play an instrument, read original poetry, perform a monologue, play as an ensemble, etc. Each performer has about eight minutes to share their talents and passions in front of a laid-back and supportive audience of families from schools throughout the greater-Ann Arbor area.
An Opportunity to Perform, Not a Contest
Open Stages are casual events for artists to share their talents in front of a friendly audience. As a performer, you sit in the crowd with other performers and guests until it is your turn, then take the stage and introduce yourself. It is a great opportunity to try something new or outside of your comfort zone because there are no expectations and many performances are rough around the edges.
Youth wishing to participate are encouraged to sign up in advance via the google doc here.
