Multi-style double bass music from Michigan

Description

Jacob V Warren, 23, is a multi-style bassist based in Ann Arbor, MI. His background and interests lie in a wide ranging variety of acoustic styles, including, but not limited to classical, traditional and contemporary folk, jazz, bluegrass, newgrass, Cajun, gypsy jazz, and many others. You may have heard Jacob at The Ark with San and Emily Slomovits, or on our annual Pete Seeger tribute show, but there are more arrows in this young musician's quiver. He's played with the National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America, under conductor Valery Gergiev, and he has studied at the Acoustic Music Seminar in Savannah with such teachers as Mike Marshall and Bela Fleck. The end result is a personal style that is incredibly diverse—check this rising artist out!
