New duo music from Nashvile and Scotland
Scottish duo The Jellyman's Daughter, Graham Kelly and Emily Coe, lands squarely in the middle of a strange crossroads between bluegrass, post-rock, folk and soul. Mixing their unique vocal harmonies with wild and visceral cello, driving guitar and sweet mandolin, Emily and Graham write their songs together with a focus on doing something new. BBC Radio Scotland reviewer Ricky Ross called the duo's new album, "Dead Reckoning," "one of my favorite records of the year."
Adrian+Meredith, says Music City Roots, bring "alt-country led by a former punk rocker with a voice a bit in the raspy direction of Tom Waits … with a strong pulse from the fiddle and a stomping rhythm." Adrian+Meredith are Adrian and Meredith Krygowski. Adrian has been songwriting and performing since 2007, and the duo's "More Than a Little" is his fifth record as primary songwriter. Before moving to Nashville, Meredith was a member of the MSU-based band The Bard Owls. This duo brings a whole new meeting of the minds between old-time music and punk!
