A salute to the King of the Cowboys
Coming up on 40 years of great entertainment "the cowboy way," Riders in the Sky offer a special musical salute to the King of the Cowboys! Ranger Doug (Idol of American Youth), Woody Paul (King of the Cowboy Fiddlers), Joey (the Cowpolka King), and Too Slim (Licensed Driver) are matchless musicians, and we don't think there's anybody else who could do justice to this legend of the silver screen and sagebrush song. And can Toby Keith do rope tricks on stage? Ranger Doug was an Ann Arborite once upon a time, and the group's Ark shows have been uniformly terrific. Riders In The Sky are exceptional are the ONLY exclusively Western artist to have won a Grammy, and Riders have won two). Opening the show is Riders member Too Slim in his entertaining "Say No More, It's Freddy Labour" songwriting persona, with such classics as "Who Offed Hoffa?" and "Big Mac (Not the Burger but the Bridge)."
