SUMMARY:Davy Knowles
DESCRIPTION:Ticket prices on our website reflect all-in pricing for purchases made online or by phone.  This means the price you see includes the ticket price plus MUTO’s ticket processing fee. Tickets may be purchased with no included fees in person at The Ark during box office hours. \nWhether playing acoustic\, mandolin\, national steel\, or screaming electric guitar\, Davy Knowles has an unmistakable style.  Since bursting on to the scene with his band Back Door Slam’s critically acclaimed album ‘Roll Away’ in 2007 (“I heard the spirit of Jimi Hendrix” Patrick McDonald – Seattle Times)\,  Davy’s star has only risen. His sophomore release ‘Coming Up For Air’ was produced by the legendary Peter Frampton (“Davy already has a recognizable style. He’s definitely the gunslinger guitarist of the 21st century\,’’- Peter Frampton). \nKnowles has several top-5 Billboard Blues charting albums under his belt\, high profile TV appearances (Jimmy Kimmel Live and CBS Good Morning America among others)\, and has been praised with high accolades from heroes and press alike – but it’s not just the music industry who has taken note. Knowles was also the very first artist in history to perform live to the International Space Station directly from mission control in Houston TX\, and has had his music taken to the Space Station by two astronauts\, Nicole Stott and Ron Garan\, on their missions orbiting Earth.  \nNever one to be satisfied or to sit still\, Knowles has explored multiple genres and styles\, from the hard-hitting 70’s classic rock influenced album ‘Three Miles From Avalon’\, to the haunting acoustic delta blues of ‘1932’\, and the sweet\, soul-searching folk of 2023’s ‘If I Should Wander’.  \nWhether spending an evening onstage armed with just an acoustic guitar\, or wielding his well worn and trusty Telecaster while fronting his blues/rock trio – and at any point in between the two – Davy Knowles is a versatile and formidable songwriter and musician.

SUMMARY:Mark Jewett & The Strategic Advisors
DESCRIPTION:Ticket prices on our website reflect all-in pricing for purchases made online or by phone.  This means the price you see includes the ticket price plus MUTO’s ticket processing fee. Tickets may be purchased with no included fees in person at The Ark during box office hours. \nMark Jewett is an insightful Michigan native storyteller who writes songs that push the boundaries of Americana into an uncommon blend of folk\, rock\, blues\, and prog rock. In them\, listeners will hear and feel honesty\, gratitude\, and thoughtful introspection\, with doses of humor and drama to vary the pace. His songs betray the effort he makes to find just the right words\, taking cues from the likes of Randy Newman\, John Prine\, and Nick Lowe. \nMark assembled the band known as The Strategic Advisors to record his 2nd full length album\, “The Lucky One\,” released in 2021. The band is comprised of some of SE Michigan’s finest musicians\, including Billy Harrington (drums & vocals)\, Michael Harrington (pedal steel\, electric & acoustic guitars)\, Ken Pesick (bass)\, Amy Petty (vocals & guitar) and Dale Grisa (keyboards). The band is extremely versatile and sonically\, they make Mark’s tunes span the wide space between classic folk and epic soundscapes you might expect to hear from Pink Floyd. Somehow\, it all fits together to provide an attention grabbing extravaganza. \nDetroit-based indie-folk band Jackamo opens. Led by sisters Alison and Tessa Wiercioch (vocals) and Jimmy Showers (guitar)\, and known for their blood harmonies\, acoustic textures\, and lyric-driven storytelling\, their sound is intimate\, nostalgic\, and always evolving.

SUMMARY:Taj Mahal & The Phantom Blues Band
DESCRIPTION:Taj Mahal doesn’t wait for permission. If a sound intrigues him\, he sets out to make it. If origins mystify him\, he moves to trace them. If rules get in his way\, he unapologetically breaks them. To Taj\, convention means nothing\, but traditions are holy. He has pushed music and culture forward\, all while looking lovingly back. \n“I just want to be able to make the music that I’m hearing come to me — and that’s what I did\,” Taj says. The 82-year-old is home in Berkeley\, reflecting on six + decades of music making. “When I say\, ‘I did\,’ I’m not coming from the ego. The music comes from somewhere. You’re just the conduit it comes through. You’re there to receive the gift.” \nTaj is a towering musical figure — a legend who transcended the blues not by leaving them behind\, but by revealing their magnificent scope to the world. “The blues is bigger than most people think\,” he says. “You could hear Mozart play the blues. It might be more like a lament. It might be more melancholy. But I’m going to tell you: the blues is in there.” \nIf anyone knows where to find the blues\, it’s Taj. A brilliant artist with a musicologist’s mind\, he has pursued and elevated the roots of beloved sounds with boundless devotion and skill. Then\, as he traced origins to the American South\, the Caribbean\, Africa\, and elsewhere\, he created entirely new sounds\, over and over again. As a result\, he’s not only a god to rock-and-roll icons such as Eric Clapton and the Rolling Stones\, but also a hero to ambitious artists toiling in obscurity who are determined to combine sounds that have heretofore been ostracized from one another. No one is as simultaneously traditional and avant-garde.

SUMMARY:Howie Day
DESCRIPTION:Ticket prices on our website reflect all-in pricing for purchases made online or by phone.  This means the price you see includes the ticket price plus MUTO’s ticket processing fee. Tickets may be purchased with no included fees in person at The Ark during box office hours. \nHowie Day’s emotionally resonant lyrics and inventive melodies have earned him both critical praise and a legion of devoted fans. He is known for his energetic\, heartfelt shows\, where he connects with audiences through the strength of his songwriting and his quirky sense of humor. Day’s warm tenor voice “soars into fluttering\, high registers\, but also grates with real\, pleading grit\,” as one critic put it.  \nA native of Bangor\, Maine\, Day began playing piano at age five and guitar at age 12. By 15\, he was writing his own songs and performing across New England. Shortly after graduating high school\, Day became a fixture at college coffeehouses across the U.S. He wrote\, financed\, and released his first effort\, Australia\, which was named Best Debut Album at the 2001 Boston Music Awards.  \nDay began experimenting with effects pedals and loop-sampling techniques as he performed\, layering live percussion with vocal harmonies and guitar parts to become a veritable one-man band. He went on to sell over 30\,000 copies of Australia as he navigated the independent music scene and continued to hone his craft. After signing with Epic Records\, Day released his \nmajor-label debut\, Stop All The World Now\, and hit the road to support it. Since the release of this ground breaking album 20 years ago\, featuring 4x platinum single “Collide”\, Howie Day continues to astound audiences with his everlasting music. Two additional studio albums (Sound The Alarm\, Lanterns) and his incredible live show will no doubt cultivate life changing and poignant moments for people around the world for many years to come.

Tickets may be purchased with no included fees in person at The Ark during box office hours. \nThose familiar with Lucy Wainwright Roche are aware of her bell tone voice\, her unshakable melodies\, and her knack for wise\, wry lyrics that clench the heart. SUMMARY:Men at Work\, Toad the Wet Sprocket\, & Shonen Knife
DESCRIPTION:Men At Work were born in Melbourne\, Australia in the middle of 1979. The band went on to become a globally successful Grammy winning\, multi-platinum selling act. The original band however came apart relatively quickly and had disintegrated by 1985. Colin Hay and Greg Ham responded to demand and toured many parts of the world as Men At Work from 1996 into the 2000’s. Sadly\, Greg Ham passed away in 2012. Colin Hay has developed a solo career over the last 35 years\, writing\, recording\, and touring extensively throughout the world as a solo artist. He is presently part of Ringo Starr’s All Starr Band. Since 2019\, he has also toured and played under the Men At Work banner with his LA based group of musicians\, where he plays an exclusively Men At Work set\, including all the hits and dearly loved songs which clearly have stood the test of time. \nAny music fan who grew up in the ‘90s\, before the rise of streaming platforms\, will tell you that when a record store clerk made a music recommendation\, you took it seriously. Often well-studied music nerds\, these unsung tastemakers had their finger on the pulse of lesser-known\, excellent bands. So it speaks volumes that many of Toad the Wet Sprocket’s earliest champions were record store clerks who put the Santa Barbara quartet’s early albums into unsuspecting listeners’ hands\, convincing them to overlook their unusual band name and give them a shot.   \nAnd that’s all it took. Lead singer Glen Phillips’ heartfelt\, introspective lyrics expressed in his deep\, buttery croon backed by the earnest instrumentation\, catchy melodies and vocal harmonies of guitarist Todd Nichols\, bassist Dean Dinning and drummer Randy Guss had fans hooked from the outset. \nToad’s third full-length album\, Fear\, went platinum after its 1991 release and spawned hits “All I Want” and “Walk on the Ocean\,” both of which made it to the top 20 of Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. And let’s not forget all the quintessential ‘90s shows and movies that featured Toad songs including Buffy the Vampire Slayer\, Dawson’s Creek\, I Know What You Did Last Summer\, Empire Records\, and the platinum-selling Friends soundtrack (“Good Intentions”). Toad released Dulcinea in 1994\, giving the band its second platinum album in a row. Recorded almost entirely live in a studio in the woods in Marin County in a room lit by hundreds of candles\, the album features fan favorites “Fall Down” and “Windmills.” The band took a break in the late ‘90s\, and the members left to pursue solo projects. They reunited in 2006\, maintaining the original lineup for the next 15 years until drummer Randy Guss departed in 2020 due to health concerns. After reuniting\, the band released New Constellation in 2013. Critics praised it for being an evolution for the band while still maintaining their signature sound and songcraft. \nEven with everything that’s changed over the last few decades\, one of the band’s main drivers has remained the same since they first started performing together in high school: bringing people together to experience music as a binding force and to help them feel like they belong. \nSince their pure DIY beginnings in 1981\, Osaka\, Japan’s Shonen Knife have been building a faithful following of music enthusiasts and the alternative rock elite. Their relentless journey secured the band’s place as one of the pioneer ambassadors of Japanese rock music and culture on the international stage.

DESCRIPTION:Ticket prices on our website reflect all-in pricing for purchases made online or by phone.  This means the price you see includes the ticket price plus MUTO’s ticket processing fee. Tickets may be purchased with no included fees in person at The Ark during box office hours. \nWith a blend of dreamy acoustic duets\, foot-stomping folk and bluesy murder ballads\, New Zealand-formed and Nashville-based South for Winter’s sound is as eclectic as their origins. The act is composed of New Zealander Nick Stone and Coloradan Dani Cichon\, and together the two multi-instrumentalists and songwriters combine ethereal harmonies\, poetic lyricism\, percussive finger-style guitar\, bluesy resonator\, suitcase stomp\, and driving mandolin into a genre-bending sound described by American Songwriter as “impeccable”. South for Winter has received nominations such as Finalist for “Best Group/Duo” in the 2023 International Acoustic Music Awards and Semi-Finalist in the 2023 and 2022 International Songwriting Competition. Their music has been praised by sites such as American Songwriter (“laden with delicate harmonies\, intricate guitar-work\, and earthy vocals… impeccable sound”)\, No Depression (“must-see artist”)\, and AmericanaUK (“an ethereal\, dreamy\, journey…a journey well-worth taking”).

SUMMARY:Wild Child
DESCRIPTION:Wild Child is the Austin-born songwriting partnership of Kelsey Wilson and Alexander Beggins\, a duo whose chemistry has powered more than a decade of acclaimed indie-folk releases and spirited live shows. What began as a spontaneous creative spark in the back of a tour van evolved into one of Austin’s most beloved bands\, known for warm harmonies\, candid storytelling\, and an ever-evolving blend of folk\, pop\, and soulful brass-driven arrangements. After years of near-constant touring and the launch of their individual projects – Wilson’s Motown-leaning Sir Woman and Beggins’ dream-pop alter ego CoCo Zandi – the pair stepped back to explore new sounds and space\, unsure when or how Wild Child might return. \nThat return arrived in an unexpected moment of stillness. When the world shut down and stages went dark\, Wilson and Beggins found themselves back in a room together\, preparing for online performances\, rediscovering the spark that shaped their earliest songs. Within minutes\, new material poured out – an organic reminder of the ease and honesty that has always defined their collaboration. The band reunited with longtime musical family and stepped into the studio with the same sense of openness and urgency that fueled their earliest recordings\, capturing raw\, unvarnished performances that leaned into emotion over perfection. \nWild Child’s creative community has always been central to their story – whether weathering a Texas ice storm together\, writing by candlelight when power went out\, or inviting new voices into their creative circle. Over the years\, the band has continued to expand its sonic world while staying grounded in heartfelt songwriting and the distinct vocal interplay that first drew fans in. Their music reflects resilience\, connection\, and the messy joy of making something together when it matters most. \nToday\, Wild Child is following their curiosity wherever it leads: building out their label imprint Reba’s Ranch Records and diving into Wild Child for Kids\, a project that lets them explore the same heart and imagination of their music through a family-friendly lens. With an ever-growing family of collaborators and a renewed commitment to making music on their own terms\, the band remains a defining voice in the vibrant indie-folk musical landscape\, continually finding new ways to surprise themselves and the listeners who have followed them from the beginning.

SUMMARY:East Nash Grass
DESCRIPTION:Ticket prices on our website reflect all-in pricing for purchases made online or by phone.  This means the price you see includes the ticket price plus MUTO’s ticket processing fee. Tickets may be purchased with no included fees in person at The Ark during box office hours. \nHow did East Nash Grass follow up their 2024 International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) award for Best New Artist? By earning a nomination for Entertainer of the Year\, IBMA’s highest honor\, in 2025\, and celebrating fiddler Maddie Denton’s win as Fiddler of the Year. In short\, East Nash Grass have quickly established themselves as the fresh new face of Nashville’s storied bluegrass tradition\, a supergroup of rising stars: Grand Master Fiddle champion Denton is joined by banjo player Cory Walker (banjo player on the five-time nominated “Carter & Cleveland” album this year\, among numerous accolades)\, 2022 IBMA Momentum Mandolin Player of the Year Harry Clark\, and charismatic frontman James Kee. This is an all-star band that harkens back to the sort of talent collected in the original Blue Grass Boys and a powerhouse leader of the next generation in bluegrass excellence. \nRolling Stone had them among the “best of what we saw” at RockyGrass in 2025\, praising their “rowdy set of high-octane bluegrass numbers\,” and noting\, “The group itself is a rapidly-rising force on the national touring scene.” \nAnd “rowdy” is right. They are far more than just a group of impressive instrumental technicians\, building on night after night of three-set gigs on Nashville’s East Side\, playing tiny stages for the love of it between tours backing bigger acts. It’s a hard-forged bond that translates into an infectious on-stage energy that audiences can’t seem to get enough of. \nWith their new release\, “All God’s Children” (Mountain Fever\, August 22\, 2025)\, they show a depth and feel\, too\, that goes well beyond the traditional bluegrass fair\, with nods to Gypsy jazz and East Village folk\, and eye toward moving bluegrass forward and keeping it from being too mired in the past. If East Nash Grass isn’t the future of the genre it’s only because they’re already among its leading lights.

DESCRIPTION:Ticket prices on our website reflect all-in pricing for purchases made online or by phone.  This means the price you see includes the ticket price plus MUTO’s ticket processing fee. Tickets may be purchased with no included fees in person at The Ark during box office hours. \nFrom a small-town minivan to sold-out theaters\, Girl Named Tom’s rise has been nothing short of remarkable. Siblings Bekah\, Caleb\, and Joshua Liechty grew up making music together but officially formed their band in 2019\, hitting the road with a self-funded tour and their debut EP\, Another World. Their tight harmonies and heartfelt songwriting captivated audiences\, leading them to make history as the first group to win The Voice.  \nSince then\, the trio has sold over 100\,000 tickets across 40 states\, headlined nationwide tours\, and performed at the Grand Ole Opry\, the Indianapolis 500\, and on The Ellen Show. They’ve shared the stage with the Nashville Symphony Orchestra\, Kelsea Ballerini\, Lady A\, and Pentatonix\, but their signature sound remains unmistakably their own—fusing folk\, pop\, and sibling magic to create music that moves the soul.  \nIn April 2026\, Girl Named Tom will hit the road on a nationwide tour promoting their new album\, Dust to Dust. The momentum will keep rolling with a performance on NBC’s The Voice in early April\, alongside an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show shortly thereafter.

Nine years after meeting in high school choir class in Ann Arbor\, Mary Collins and Kaye Hamada accidentally moved two blocks away from each other in Brooklyn and realized that the songwriting partners they’d been looking for had been one text away all along. One song led to another\, and Moonmill came to be! Through sophisticated guitar lines and rich\, crystal clear vocal harmonies\, Moonmill blends classic Simon & Garfunkel-esque folk sensibilities with contemporary singer/songwriter confessional lyricism and ethereal pop production elements\, creating songs that feel like entire worlds listeners can escape to.

DESCRIPTION:Ticket prices on our website reflect all-in pricing for purchases made online or by phone.  This means the price you see includes the ticket price plus MUTO’s ticket processing fee. Tickets may be purchased with no included fees in person at The Ark during box office hours. \nBill apparently got off his butt and recorded a bunch of new songs. Given that Ann Arbor is his ancestral home\, and the very place he and some like-minded souls formed Commander Cody and his Lost Planet Airmen\, Bill has promised not to wear you out with too much inscrutable new material. He has assured us that he’ll also bring some reminiscences with a good selection of songs from his checkered past. And as we’ve never been able to get him out of here without him launching into a few Dylan songs\, we’ll be on guard for that as well. What else? Oh yes\, he did say he had some home town Stories That Can Finally Be Told\, but offered no assurances that he will remember them. He also said\, tell ‘em I’m bringing my Texas band Rick Richards and Jack Saunders for the full Honky-Tonk Rock’n’Roll  experience\, and that I’m quite a bit jollier than that picture would indicate.  \nGrammy nominated guitarist\, singer and songwriter Bill Kirchen is one of the fortunate few who can step on any stage\, play those trademark licks which drove the seminal Commander Cody classic Hot Rod Lincoln into the Top Ten nationwide\, and elicit instant recognition. Named a “Titan of the Telecaster” by Guitar Player Magazine\, he celebrates a musical tradition that embraces rock ‘n’ roll\, blues and bluegrass\, Texas Western swing and California honkytonk. Nick Lowe describes Bill as “… a devastating culmination of the elegant and funky… a really sensational musician\, with enormous depth.” Justly famous for his indelible Telecaster sound\, Bill Kirchen has been everywhere over the span of a 50-plus-year career: he was a founding member of the legendary Commander Cody and his Lost Planet Airmen; he released a dozen critically acclaimed solo albums; he toured internationally with Nick Lowe and has performed or recorded with Doug Sahm\, Gene Vincent\, Elvis Costello\, Dan Hicks\, Emmylou Harris\, Linda Ronstadt \,Bruce Hornsby and Link Wray.

DESCRIPTION:Ticket prices on our website reflect all-in pricing for purchases made online or by phone.  This means the price you see includes the ticket price plus MUTO’s ticket processing fee. Tickets may be purchased with no included fees in person at The Ark during box office hours. \nNorth Ingalls is a four-piece indie folk-groove sound. All members of North Ingalls hail from the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) and met through the School of Music. \nThe members of North Ingalls enjoy blending various genres to fuel their unique sound. With folk at the forefront\, it is mixed in with jazz\, R&B\, and rock to create the music you hear from them today. They are constantly expanding their ears\, finding new music and new sounds to draw inspiration from to feed their passion. \nThe theme of love is at the heart of their music\, with tunes that touch upon the ups and downs of relationships\, friendships\, and kinships. The band has gained a devoted following for its deeply honest and detailed narrative lyrics that explore the raw feelings and experiences that arise between two connected hearts. Brought to life by emotionally raw vocals and a rich\, full-bodied sound\, North Ingalls’ original music strikes a compelling chord with every generation. \nAnanda Murari is a Southeast Michigan artist creating eclectic devotional folk shaped by a decade of monastic living. After spending years immersed in spiritual study and simple living\, he returned to songwriting with a renewed sense of wonder—carrying the quiet clarity of the forest\, the humility of service\, and the soft ache of becoming human again. \nDrawing from folk\, jazz\, and Indian tribal traditions\, Ananda’s music blends storytelling\, fables\, and philosophical reflections into a sound that feels both earthy and transcendent. His songs explore life’s intimate truths—the winding road of love\, the struggle of the heart\, the slow work of self-discovery\, and the strange beauty in being broken open. \nWith roots in devotional tradition and a voice shaped by forests\, philosophy\, and lived experience\, Ananda crafts folk music meant for seekers—songs for anyone walking the long road home.

DESCRIPTION:Ticket prices on our website reflect all-in pricing for purchases made online or by phone.  This means the price you see includes the ticket price plus MUTO’s ticket processing fee. Tickets may be purchased with no included fees in person at The Ark during box office hours. \nAs global ambassadors of Irish heritage and storytelling\, The High Kings have consistently brought  the timeless tradition of folk music to audiences worldwide\, earning them chart-topping success and widespread acclaim. With their signature blend of classic tradition and modern edge\, The Rocky Road Tour promises to be a vibrant showcase of Irish culture\, energy\, and musicality.  \nFollowing a record-breaking 2024 – including a sold-out world tour\, a feature on Disney’s critically acclaimed Only Murders in The Building\, and over 5 million weekly streams – the band are showing no signs of slowing down. Their momentum continued in 2025 with a string of sold-out U.S. tour dates. \nBut it was their inclusion on the soundtrack of Sinners\, starring Michael B. Jordan and directed by Ryan Coogler\, that marked a defining moment in their global recognition. The film’s soundtrack\, already topping international streaming charts\, was curated by Oscar- and Grammy-winning composer Ludwig Göransson\, a long-time admirer of The High Kings’ distinctive vocal blend and musicianship. After attending their sold-out show at The Troubadour in Los Angeles earlier this year\, Göransson selected two tracks—“The Rocky Road to Dublin” and “Go Lassie Go”—to feature prominently in the film’s score. \nThe Rocky Road Tour 2026 will build on this global success\, offering audiences a high-energy live show that reinforces The High Kings’ place at the forefront of Irish folk. With a renewed focus on storytelling\, musicianship\, and connection\, the tour reflects the group’s ongoing commitment to honouring Ireland’s folk legacy while pushing creative boundaries.

SUMMARY:Fink
DESCRIPTION:The City Is Coming to Erase It All is Fink’s ninth studio album\, following 2024’s Beauty In Your Wake. Recorded in Zennor\, Cornwall\, the album was made with a strict era-specific approach. Imagining a record Michael Chapman might have made\, right down to the guitar strings. Grammy-winning producer Sam Okell helped guide the process: “If it didn’t exist in 1974\, you’re not allowed to use it.” \nBut this is nowstalgia\, not nostalgia. “I want something new\, but with the same ethos\,” singer Fin Greenall explains. There’s a parallel between the restless 18-year-olds Fink once were and the autumn-aged family men they are now. Touring remains a compulsion as much as a joy\, despite having played every major European city countless times. “The need to play your new material is so overwhelming that it trumps all the comforts and trinkets.” \nCity is a product of this hunger for discovery\, and idolatry of the album as a form – like we had in 1974. City’s cover mirrors its interior\, the first song is the greeting\, the instrumental closer the conclusion. It’s a story. It’s a record for people who\, like its creators\, are curious. People who happily face a little cold for music\, who light a crackling fire back home\, who sit with these songs until they’re ready to chase after their own blue sky.

DESCRIPTION:Ticket prices on our website reflect all-in pricing for purchases made online or by phone.  This means the price you see includes the ticket price plus MUTO’s ticket processing fee. Tickets may be purchased with no included fees in person at The Ark during box office hours. \nBritish-American trio Raynes formed when Mat Charley and Joe Berger\, both born and raised in North Dakota\, came across a video of UK native Mark Race on Instagram and fell in love—first with his face\, then with his voice. After a few messages and phone calls\, Mark was on a plane to the US to start a band (a few months later\, he had the flight number tattooed on his arm). \nSince then\, Raynes has signed with Sony Music Publishing and released six singles and four EPs\, drawing hundreds of thousands of monthly listeners and tens of millions of streams and earning press in Billboard and People. They’ve performed at BottleRock Festival and in clubs\, concert halls\, and amphitheaters across the US and the UK\, developing a reputation as a high-energy live act. \nIn 2025\, Raynes’ rendition of “I Want You to Want Me” was featured in an episode of Love Is Blind on Netflix. \nKnown for their intricate vocal harmonies and unique instrumentation as well as their poetic lyrics\, Raynes has yet to come up with a good answer as to what genre their music falls under. With all three members coming from different musical backgrounds\, the boys combine their diverse influences to form a group that draws inspiration from around the globe\, incorporating elements of folk\, rock\, and chamber pop with Celtic and world music to create a wholly original—and difficult to categorize—sound.

DESCRIPTION:Ticket prices on our website reflect all-in pricing for purchases made online or by phone.  This means the price you see includes the ticket price plus MUTO’s ticket processing fee. Tickets may be purchased with no included fees in person at The Ark during box office hours. \nFeaturing five musicians who grew up in El Paso\, Lubbock and Amarillo\, the West Texas Exiles draw upon the wide-open western reaches of the Lone Star State with a wide-ranging\, Americana-centered sound. Rising from the embers of the Dirty River Boys\, which Marco Gutierrez co-founded in 2009\, the Austin band features a triple-threat of songwriters in Gutierrez\, Daniel Davis and Colin Gilmore (son of legendary Texas troubadour Jimmie Dale Gilmore)\, plus seasoned bassist Eric Harrison and latter-day Dirty River Boys drummer Trinidad Leal. The Exiles’ 2023 debut EP paved the way for their first full-length album\, 8000 Days\, due out later this year. The recordings build upon the live chops the group has honed through a weekly residency at Austin’s legendary Continental Club plus gigs at key local events such as SXSW and Willie Nelson’s Luck Reunion\, as well as high-profile touring appearances at Nashville’s Americanafest\, Braun Brothers Reunion and San Francisco’s Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival.

DESCRIPTION:Ticket prices on our website reflect all-in pricing for purchases made online or by phone.  This means the price you see includes the ticket price plus MUTO’s ticket processing fee. Tickets may be purchased with no included fees in person at The Ark during box office hours. \nRodney Crowell is the songwriter’s songwriter and an icon among giants. Native Texan\, Crowell is a multi-Grammy Award-winning troubadour with fifteen number one hits. Over the course of his career\, Crowell has gracefully blended his own mainstream success as an artist with a prolific catalog of songs cut by the likes of Emmylou Harris\, Johnny Cash\, Waylon Jennings\, Keith Urban and more\, making him a master among his peers.  \nWith more than 40 years of American roots music under his belt\, Crowell has also been cited as the architect of Americana music\, extending his genre reach\, but owing to the distinctly universal\, literary quality of his writing\, he has also penned beloved songs for artists as diverse as Bob Seger\, Etta James\, the Grateful Dead\, John Denver\, Jimmy Buffett and countless others. \nA member of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame\, Crowell is also the author of the acclaimed memoir\, Chinaberry Sidewalks\, and teamed up with New York Times best-selling author Mary Karr for Kin: Songs by Mary Karr & Rodney Crowell in 2012\, with Karr saying of her collaborator\, “Like Hank Williams or Townes Van Zandt or Miss Lucinda\, he writes and croons with a poet’s economy and a well digger’s deep heart.” Crowell was honored with ASCAP’s prestigious Founder’s Award in 2017\, and that same year released the album Close Ties\, which spawned another Grammy nomination for “It Ain’t Over Yet” with Rosanne Cash and John Paul White in the category of Best Americana Song. 2019’s Texas was a collection of Lone Star-centric collaborations with Ringo Starr\, Willie Nelson\, Ronnie Dunn\, Steve Earle and more\, and Crowell’s most recent album release is the 2021 set\, Triage.  \nCrowell came up in Nashville’s songwriting heyday alongside Guy Clark\, Townes Van Zandt\, and Steve Earle and has continued that legacy of camaraderie and kinship with his peers well into the iconic era of his career. As many say – “your favorite song was probably written by Rodney Crowell.” Crowell has four daughters and lives with his wife and dog in Tennessee. He writes every day and loves tending to his garden.
