Released in 1975 on Olivia Records\, an all-women recording company\, the album is considered a cornerstone of women’s music. NPR’s Music Critic Ann Powers has praised the album as a work that explores themes of loss\, grief\, and renewal\, suggesting it’s a portal that allows listeners to travel through time and return refreshed.
