The Ukraine Relief Benefit Ann Arbor (URBAA) is a fundraising concert with a goal of raising a $10,000 donation for an organization providing direct humanitarian aid to Ukrainian refugees from brutal Russian aggression. The charity chosen is World Central Kitchen. It has established nearly 350 meal-distribution sites in border host countries to provide meals to incoming Ukrainian refugees; it also distributes food where direly needed anywhere around the globe. The brand new WCK facility in Przemyśl, Poland has the capacity to provide 100,000 meals per day.
Local musicians already committed to the event are the renowned and very beloved Madcat Ruth and the C.A.R.Ma Quartet, Jive Colossus, Jerry Mack and The Terraplanes with Lady Sunshine and members of the X Band, The Switchbacks, The Judy Banker Band and the Andy Adamson Quintet. More may be added.
