An evening highlighting the musical and improvisatory talents of the Michigan Shakespeare Festival troupe
Each year the Michigan Shakespeare Festival hires amazingly talented people, and the shows don’t always utilize each and every one of those talents. Shakespeare Unplugg’d is a way for company members to share their most wonderful, bizarre, and hilarious abilities with the public – and each other. Returning to the Ark for a third time, this night promises to be filled with mirth and music—with just a smidgeon of the Bard thrown in. In the past we’ve had tap-dancing, Bollywood dancing, monologues, improv sessions, jokes, juggling, rap, poetry, blues, 30s standards, banjo serenades, and much more. There's no telling what will happen when Shakespearean actors are let off the leash!Admission is free, though donations are welcome!
