Double bill!

It's a double bill of roots music classics! Jimmie Dale Gilmore is an American music icon, a singer whose high-lonesome voice mirrors the desolate beauty of his native West Texas panhandle, a creator of unforgettable images, and a poetic interpreter of his own songs and those of others. Songs like "Dallas" ("a rich man with a death wish in his eye") have won him two Grammy nominations and three Rolling Stone Critics' Awards. If you have to put a label on him, call him a cosmic cowboy--after you hear Jimmie Dale Gilmore, the universe seems just a little bit bigger. Bill Kirchen is an Ann Arbor-bred guitar god, a Telecaster titan who whirls through a whole gallery of country and rock styles over the course of an evening. After a stint as lead guitarist with Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen, he's gone on to an acclaimed solo career, and when he returns to town at the holidays his concerts turn into joyous reunions celebrating the glory days of the Ann Arbor honky-tonk scene. Bill has evolved into a very funny rockabilly and country songwriter as well. Bill and Jimmie Dale have been touring together in recent years and usually do some songs together.
