A blues and boogie piano summit
Once a year, Mark "Mr. B" Braun, Ann Arbor's own ultimate blues and boogie piano music, comes together with other top piano players from around southeastern Michigan and beyond. Call it a piano summit, or perhaps a meeting of the minds—it's hard to think of another place with such a concentration of piano talent in a single evening of music. This year's concert celebrates 88-year-old Michigan boogie master Bob Seeley (through the medium of the piano's 88 keys!). This is also the 20th anniversary of the Mr. B Blues & Boogie Celebration at The Ark. The show also features soul jazz and bop jazz pianist Bill Heid, and Ann Arbor-to-Nashville soul and R&B player Al Hill, with Paul Keller on bass and Leonard King on drums.
