Eclectic Americana from the rural outskirts of Detroit
Jason Waggoner is from the edges of the Detroit area and is as comfortable in the woods as he is on the pavement. He was raised on classic country of the 1950s, '70s rock, '80s heavy metal, and '90s jam bands as well as jazz and blues and even classical, and he's managed to put together all those separate sounds. Jason has an eclectic sound that is all his own. He has performed all over the country and been featured on radio and in print and in ads for companies such as Ford and Kellogg—and as the National Anthem singer at Tiger Stadium. Jason Waggoner's music will make toes tap, voices sing, dancers swing, hearts break, and tears fall! Come and welcome this Michigan original in his Ark debut.
At this show, Jason is partnering with the Junior League of Ann Arbor to support the Junior League's produce distribution program. JLAA Produce Distribution will provide fresh produce in partnership with Food Gatherers, healthy snacks, and health education to food insecure elementary school families throughout Washtenaw County. This program dually combats childhood hunger and obesity by providing free healthy produce to schools where 50 percent or more of the students receive free or reduced-price lunches.
