Stretching the parameters of acoustic swing, Bridgeport, Connecticut's Caravan of Thieves won immediate praise for their new and unique brand of gypsy-flavored songwriting and their high-intensity show. The vocal-harmonizing and acoustic-guitar-spanking husband-and-wife duo of Fuzz and Carrie have now extended their family to include fiery violinist Ben Dean and self-proclaimed double bass madman Brian Anderson. Their musical vision includes layers of Beatlesque vocals, driving rhythms, satirical, dramatic songwriting, and a veritable circus of sound! Caravan of Thieves doesn't quite belong with either the revivalists or the numerous modern bands that draw on the gypsy swing sound and the other music of its era -- this caravan travels its own road.
