"A local songwriter on the way up"
Over the New Year's holiday Lucciana Costa played Nashville's Exit-In, and recent dates in Canada. Now, this independent recording artist and hometown girl is excited about coming back to the venue that inspired her to become a performing musician. This gifted songwriter will be joined by her veteran band The Lucky Bastards, whose name was actually created at last year's Ark show. Says Rob Reinhart of radio's internationally syndicated Acoustic Café: "Put together Regina Spektor, Ben Folds, and Harry Nilsson, and you'll get a sense of Lucciana Costa's 'Last Chance for a Pony.' Not bad for a debut, eh?" Lucciana has been developing her unique musical style since she was a 12-year-old who gigged by night and attended Forsythe Middle School by day. Last year, at 20, she released her first album and rolled out her high-energy live show at The Ark.
