"A Michigan family all-star benefit concert"
Gemini is the much-loved duo of Sandor and Laszlo Slomovits. They write and perform acoustic music for children and families, celebrating with their audiences the warmth, fun, and joy of family life. A Gemini concert is a kinetic event, filled with rousing singalongs, hand motion tunes, folk tales, and music from around the world. This year Gemini is joined by some of Michigan's top family-oriented artists--all performing with members of their own families! Nationally known storyteller Laura Pershin Raynor appears with her daughter, Emma. Sandy Ryder, one of the founders of Wild Swan Children's Theater, will be on hand with her daughter, Abby, a talented actress as well. And last but not least, songwriter Billy King, the pride of Brooklyn, Michigan, and one half of the fabulous King Brothers, will make a very rare appearance with his mom, Kathy. Proceeds from tonight's show benefit Mott Children's Hospital.
