"Cancer sucks...but April rocks!"
Let's rally together for April, an Ann Arbor teacher, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend in her fight with metastatic cancer. April is using traditional and alternative methods of therapy to combat her illness. However, due to fluctuating energy levels and side affects from treatment, she can only work part time. Join us as we support April's efforts in fighting this disease...and have a rockin' good time! Two fabulous local-going-national bands are on hand to help out.
The Great Lakes Myth Society is a folk-rock band that actually rocks out, while still capturing the mystery and wonder of traditional folk narrative.
And Ann Arbor's indie-folk-pop group The New Green has drawn comparisons to Wilco and Belle & Sebastian with their melodic compositions, compelling lyrics, and dense arrangements.
