Contemporary Songwriters & Groups, Women's Music |
"Get your new songwriting here for free!"
Women in Docs are Roz Pappalardo (acoustic guitar, vocals, harmonica, banjo) and Chanel Lucas (acoustic guitar, vocals, bass), based in Brisbane, Australia. They tour with other musicians on violin, keyboards and drums, creating a distinctive sound with great harmonies and original songs. Women in Docs have been compared to the Indigo Girls, for whom they've opened, and the Waifs. Nicole Reynolds comes fresh from a singer/songwriter spotlight slot at the Michigan Womyn's Music Fest. "Every singer/songwriter should be as playful as Nicole Reynolds, who resembles a giddy kid no matter what sheʼs singing about," says Doug Wallen of Philadelphia Weekly. Nicole has released three albums, and she's a major presence on folk and indie-rock scenes in both Philadelphia and her native Pittsburgh. Of her songwriting she says: "It's such a release. It's like therapy ... I just love it. It's my passion." Take a chance on some fresh voices!
