"Celtic music . . . world music . . . Millish music!"
Trying to categorize Millish is a difficult task. Some listeners say that Millish's music reminds them of Celtic groups like Solas and Flook, while others say that Millish sounds more like a Guinness-soaked version of the Flecktones. They're made up of musicians who come from various folk and roots traditions but share a strong interest in jazz. Millish has made a splash in Michigan's acoustic music scene, performing at the Detroit Festival of the Arts, the Wheatland Music Festival, twice on the nationally syndicated Mitch Albom Show, and at the 2007 Ann Arbor Folk Festival. They explore the links that connect Irish traditional music with other roots music from around the world.
