"Unbelievable guitar playing -- and some unbelievable tales"
Florida's Richard Gilewitz bills himself as "one of the strangest men in acoustic music today." He's a fingerstyle guitarist, playing both 6- and 12-string instruments. Gilewitz delivers a show that's a whole history of fingerstyle guitar through time, going all the way back to the instrument's Spanish classical origins and proceeding through blues, folk, traditional American, and contemporary styles. He's a formidable player who can make one guitar sound like an entire orchestra, and his sense of humor is absolutely one of a kind -- he promises to spin yarns "too unbelievable not to be true." Rarely heard in this part of the country, Richard Gilewitz is well worth the low admission price of absolutely free!
