"Four Generations of Blues and Boogie"
Once a year, Mark "Mr. B" Braun, Ann Arbor's own wizard of blues and boogie piano music, comes together with other top piano players from around southeastern Michigan and beyond. Call it a piano summit, or perhaps a meeting of the minds! Mr. B.'s guests this year include Iowa City 17-year-old Chase Garrett (check YouTube and prepare to be amazed), 34-year-old Barcelona, Spain native Lluís Coloma, Mr. B himself (he's 51, and last we heard he was planning to tow a piano across Michigan with a bicycle), and the incredible Bob Seeley, a southeast Michigan boogie institution who is turning 80 and will be honored with a tribute during the show. It's four generations of blues and boogie in one place! Who could ask for anything more?
